Loading... Please wait...I set out to make Caramel Soap. It was a "special" Caramel because it had a lil' kick to it beyond the traditional vanilla and nut base.
This one is livened up with heavy doses of chipotle, cinnamon, clove and a surprising note of pimento.
Once I got going, it felt a bit too much like a Fall/Winter soap.
(This is the part I love about NO RULES!)
I got out a couple extra oils and WALLA! Caramel Apple Soap. So, now, it makes sense (scents!) Summer and the smell of the County Fair. The Candy/Caramel Apples that scare mama for the next trip to the dentist but make us all happy to bite through that sweetness to the cool crisp juicy apple are right here inside this YUMMO bar. It does smell good enough to make your mouth water!
When ever anyone walks past the soap rack where this one is drying, its definitely a double take! Stop and sniff the Caramel Apple!

The scent of this bar is so nice. Not too sweet at all. The caramel is soft and the apple will make you want to take a bite! This reminds me of the scents around harvest time and the local county fair. It also reminds me of the fruit stands out here in Washington state (in the Eastern Washington farm country)... they always have an antique store and fruit stand combination. So you walk into the wooden building where the romantic scent of long ago items mix with the freshly harvested apples and fruit... its a wonderful combination. That is what this soap reminds me of. Yum!
